CCTV systems

CCTV has come a long way over the last 10 years from a blurry analogue image, to up to 12 megapixels. Analogue is really on it's way out, ok for close up images but for any footage that you want to use as evidence 1080p and upwards is the way to go.

For a standard size house, 1080p (2.4 megapixels) cameras and recorder are perfectly adequate, they will give you the same quality images as Sky HD. For night time recording all of our cameras have infra red cut filters that activate when the light outside gets too low to see properly, this turns on a cluster of lights that throw out an invisible beam of light that the cameras can see, even in pitch darkness.

A survey will be needed at the property as each system is uniquely designed. This will establish the best locations for the cameras, the neatness of the cable running and most importantly the hiding of the recorder, as this will be one thing an intruder will like to take, as well as your beloved ipad.

Images are recorded directly onto the recorder's hard drive giving approximately 4 weeks of rewindable footage, this is automatically overwritten. The recorder is programmed to record only when the cameras see movement, which makes searching much easier and uses less space on the drive.

An iPhone and Android app is a handy tool to see live images and review recordings from anywhere in the world, this will be set up as part of the job and there are no initial or ongoing subscriptions.
